Our pre-K classrooms provide a playful learning environment that is driven by the interest of the students. At this age, students learn best with hands-on learning and exploring. Students are given developmental activities to promote problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.
We are also involved in developing the social and emotional growth of the students at this age. Students learn the importance of positive relationships with teachers and peers. They learn social skills through interactions, observation, roleplaying, and direct teaching. Students are also introduced to teamwork by collaborating with their peers on projects.
In our Pre-K classrooms, we develop students’ language and vocabulary skills by building on their home language. Students in pre-K participate in activities that involve multiple levels of learning and skill-building activities that will help them get ready for kindergarten. A typical day in the pre-K classroom includes music, art, science, reading, math, self-development, and playtime.
We are confident that our research based pre-K curriculum will help our students build a solid foundation for future academic and personal success. At The ReImagine Schools, we support and develop the whole child. It is equally important to us that our students establish a healthy self- image that builds their confidence, self-esteem, and self-determination. Thus, our students will learn about African American culture and history as an essential factor in their development.
